About Savallio
What Savallio is
Savallio is a payments platform for service work. Every payment is attached to a contract with defined milestones, and the money is held until the work behind each milestone is approved.
The customer funds the contract before the work starts. The provider can see the money is committed. When a milestone is finished and the customer approves it, that portion releases automatically. No invoice, no follow-up, no waiting on net 30.
The problem it solves
Service work runs on trust that neither side has a reason to extend.
A contractor takes a job and finances it out of pocket, buying materials and paying a crew for weeks before seeing a dollar. If the customer disappears or disputes the work, the contractor is out the money and the labor, and the recourse is a lien or a lawsuit that costs more than the job was worth.
A customer wires a deposit to someone they met a week ago and hopes. If the work stops halfway, the money is gone.
Existing payment apps do not solve this. Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle move money instantly and irreversibly, which is exactly wrong for work that takes weeks. They were built for splitting dinner, not for a fourteen thousand dollar roof. Traditional escrow exists but is slow, expensive, and built for real estate closings rather than a three-milestone kitchen remodel.
Savallio puts the structure of an escrow arrangement into the speed of a payment app.
How it works
1. Agree the work. The provider and the customer set the scope, the price, and the milestones in one contract they both sign. Savallio generates the contract and its milestone structure from a plain description of the job, so neither party has to draft anything.
2. The money gets committed. The customer funds the contract before work begins. The funds are held. They are not the provider's yet, and they are no longer the customer's to spend.
3. The money releases. The provider marks a milestone complete. The customer approves it. That portion of the contract releases to the provider immediately.
If something goes wrong, either party can dispute a milestone, and the funds stay held while it is resolved.
Why the money is safe
The protection is structural, not a promise.
Once a contract is funded, neither party can move the money alone. The customer cannot pull it back on a whim. The provider cannot draw it early. A release requires a completed milestone and an approval, and every release is recorded against the contract that authorized it.
That is the whole design. Most payment products ask you to trust the person on the other end. Savallio removes the need to.
Who it is for
Savallio is built first for skilled trades and contracting: general contractors, remodelers, roofers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, concrete and masonry, landscaping, painting, flooring, and custom builders, along with the subcontractors and crews who work alongside them.
The second side is their customers, the homeowners and businesses hiring that work, who currently have no safe way to pay for it.
Savallio is invite only at launch. Every provider on the platform receives invitations to bring the people they already work with.
The company
Savallio was founded by Derreck Stratton, a United States military veteran.
The platform launches August 8, 2026, opening with 888 founding provider accounts. Savallio is building for nationwide availability at launch.
What comes next
The Savallio consumer application is the first product. Two more are planned on the same foundation.
Savallio Bridge will make the contract and escrow layer available to other platforms through an API, so any marketplace can offer milestone-based escrow payments to its own users without building the infrastructure.
Savallio DR will add an insurance and recovery layer on top of the contract trust layer.
